TabTrade — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is solid.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set once it is live.
Costs
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That says something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
Here is the thing that matters. The broker is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense is your call.
The Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you commit.
